
The Federal Executive Council approved the deployment of 4,000 new telecommunications towers across Nigeria to bridge the rural connectivity gap for 23 million underserved citizens. This key infrastructure initiative is primarily aimed at boosting national security and enhancing commercial activity in remote areas.
Complementing this tech rollout, the FEC also approved new agricultural mechanization service centers across all six geopolitical zones. This targeted investment is set to support efficient, all-year-round farming, directly addressing food security and improving livelihoods in local communities.
On the social front, the government affirmed sustained long-term financing for primary healthcare. This commitment, anchored by the Basic Health Care Fund, ensures the continued revitalization of health centers and the planned expansion of national immunization campaigns into 2026.
